Education and Training The Computer Class, welfare to work program, has been in existence since 1998. Many of our clients are far below the poverty level and cannot go to school plus have no finances for computers. The CHC conducts classes every Thursday at 10 am as a part of our mission to help those in need with programs that meet that need.
“Education is a key out of poverty” is our motto for class and we believe that with computer education the poor will be more likely to fit into our computer-age society. So far we have been able to teach 7 people who are now able to work on computers.
As the needy hear about the classes through our other programs they call us for class times and more information. When they come to class, they spend approximately 2 hours learning the Windows basics, Word, and the Internet.
