Community Hope Center is gearing up for the kick off a NEW and EXCITING fund raiser ... our 1st Annual, 'You CAN Make a Difference' coin drive. It will be hard plastic cans that look like a soup can keeping with the theme of what we do here but it will be a 'bank' to drop money into. It will kick off in the churches on Sunday, August 29th and will end on Sunday, September 26th. The members take the can home on August 29th and bring them back on Sept. 26th. Will you join us and present this opportunity to your church body (or we can send someone to share) to partner with us on? If you are not able to help but would forward to your pastor, church secretary or a leader in your church, we'd appreciate it. We would also like civic groups, schools, businesses, etc to join in this event. If so, to get us started I would like to get a count of how many CAN containers that you'll need for your church. The goal is for each family member to take one home to collect money in . The best way for this to happen is to point a natural liaison for your church with CHC. Just let us know who that is or have them contact me soon please. The formula to use is Total membership minus 25% = how many cans you're most likely to get your membership to take. If you would get back to me with a count of cans you'll need by Wednesday, July 28th by emailing myself or CoAnn Connoyer at CoAnn Connoyer <cconnoyer@gmail.com>, I'd appreciate it. You can also leave a message for her at CHC at 259.0959 if you have further questions. Or I can be reached at 558.6433 until July 28th but will be out of the office until Tuesday, August 10th. I will be checking my email while I'm out. We'll take steps forward quickly once I return August 10th and will make sure you or your liaision have what you need to make this easy and successful. We know that this can be a great financial and awareness opportunity for this ministry that helped over 27,000 household member visits in 2009 alone. Together we CAN make a difference in our community through Community Hope Center.
